John and his family joined the Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church staff in June 2003.  John and his wife Lisa are natives of Birmingham and have with their appointment to Cahaba Heights returned to the area.  John and Lisa have two daughters, 14 and 13.  John is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and has served the North Alabama Conference for eleven years.

Laura has been teaching pre-school for approximately eleven years and has been with CHUM pre-school for seven years. She and her husband John have two children, Alex age 6 and Maddie age 4.

Ginger joined our staff in 1988.  She has been on the adjunct college and prep music faculties at Birmingham-Southern College since 1984.  At BSC, Ginger has taught private piano lessons, "Music for Moppets" classes, theory classes, accompanied the Birmingham-Southern Alumni Choir and directed the Birmingham-Southern Children's Choir.  Ginger is married to Alan Dismukes, a history teacher.  The Dismukes have two precious daughters, Kate and Ruth.

David joined our staff on September 5, 1990.  He has taught music at Davis Middle School, Bessemer, AL, Richards High School in Tallahassee, FL, Gordon College in Barnesville, GA, and has served as Director of Music at First United Methodist Church, Bainbridge GA.  David is presently teaching at Minor High School.  He directs the chancel and Handbell choirs of CHUM Church and supervises and coordinates our total music program.  David's wife, Lisa, is also a musician and directs the Men's Choir.  David and Lisa have two children, Brandon and Savannah.

Gwen is retired from BellSouth Services. Previously she has worked at Christ Church United Methodist. She was raised in the Methodist church and presently is an active member of Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
